This report on the impact of oil exploration on women and women’s leadership in the Albertine sub-region of Uganda is intended for the enhancement of women’s leadership and to improve awareness of the impact of oil exploration on women in the Albertine sub-region. While Uganda will not see oil revenues in the next one year, some parts of western Uganda have already felt the negative impacts of oil extraction especially on land matters. Recommendations are given by the report to various stakeholders to advocate for improved protection of women and girls in the Albertine sub-region.
